I genuinely don’t think I will ever recover from this series 😭
Some books are entertaining.
Some books become favourites.
And then there are books that completely consume your life, ruin every other fantasy series for you, and leave a permanent mark on your soul.
That’s exactly what Throne of Glass did to me.
And honestly? I would do ANYTHING to read this series again for the first time.
It Starts Small… Then Suddenly It Owns Your Entire Life 😭
When I first started the series, I genuinely wasn’t expecting it to become this big in my heart.
The first book feels like the beginning of an adventure. But then every single book gets bigger, darker, more emotional, and more addictive until suddenly you’re emotionally attached to an entire kingdom of fictional people ☁️
And the CHARACTER GROWTH???
Insane.
Watching Celaena Sardothien become who she was always meant to be honestly felt magical to experience.
The Found Family In This Series Destroyed Me 💛
This series has one of the BEST found families I’ve ever read.
The friendships.
The loyalty.
The banter.
The sacrifices.
Every character felt important and layered and real. Even side characters somehow stole pieces of my heart 😭
You don’t just read this series — you live in it.
The Fantasy World Feels Massive
The world-building in this series is honestly incredible.
Ancient magic. Kingdoms. Assassins. Witches. Wyverns. Hidden powers. Political chaos. Emotional trauma 😭
But somehow it never loses the emotional heart at the centre of the story.
And don’t even get me started on the witches because I am STILL not over them.
The Emotional Damage Was Unreal 😭
There were moments in this series where I genuinely had to put the book down and stare at the wall.
Sarah J. Maas somehow makes you feel:
-
completely devastated
-
emotionally attached
-
hopeful
-
destroyed
-
and obsessed
…all within the same chapter ☁️
I laughed. I cried. I screamed. I lost sleep.
And I would absolutely do it all again.

Nothing Feels The Same After Finishing It
You know when you finish a series and suddenly every other book feels slightly disappointing after?
Yeah. That.
I think part of what makes Throne of Glass so special is how immersive it feels. The characters genuinely become part of your life for a while.
And honestly, finding fantasy books that capture that SAME feeling is so difficult 😭💛
That’s actually one of the reasons I love personalized book subscriptions and Blind Date With A Book experiences so much — finding books based on your exact reading taste feels way more magical than endlessly searching on your own.
If your favourite books are emotionally immersive fantasy series like Throne of Glass, you’d probably love the fantasy picks over at Bookish Blindside ☁️📚
Final Thoughts ✨
Some fantasy series entertain you for a while.
But Throne of Glass honestly becomes part of you.
The characters, the friendships, the heartbreak, the victories, the magic… it’s one of those series I know I’ll think about for YEARS.
And if I could erase my memory just to experience this series again for the first time?
I absolutely would 😭💛
